Julian Marks
Fresh out of Leeds Metropolitan University having graduated with a degree in European Marketing, Julian assisted with the production of his first sports entertainment ceremony, The Rugby League World Cup Final, played at Wembley Stadium in 1995. Working on this first event alongside his now business partner Clive McElarney neither expected that within 7 years of their first meeting Wembley would be closed and EVENT360 would be open! Having produced countless sporting ceremonies over the last 17 years there have been numerous highs but foremost among these are the opening ceremonies produced by EVENT360 for the Twickenham Stadium South Stand, Wembley Stadium and Wimbledon’s Centre Court.
Clive McElarney
Clive’s move into the events industry came by chance after taking a casual job selling programmes across the Wembley Complex. He then worked within the full time merchandising team for a number of years before taking the daunting step into the operations department at Wembley Stadium. Here he coordinated his first 'solo' event which was built around the little known and new to the UK player, Gianfranco Zola. He is proud to have coordinated the last ever England International, concert and FA Cup Final at old Wembley Stadium. The 'Wembley link' continues with him taking the lead role on the Official Opening Ceremony / FA Cup Final 2007 for EVENT360. Challenging events are his speciality, with personal highlights being Closing of Highbury Stadium for Arsenal FC, WRC Wales Rally 2008 and anything else “you really have to think through”.
